Vermont Department of Corrections - Emergency Notification System

The Vermont Department of Corrections has launched a new Emergency Notification System that allows us to alert you no matter where you are.

The primary use of this system is to disseminate messages pertaining to a correctional facility and surrounding community when affected by a perceived, emerging or imminent emergency event or training.

As a member of the community, you can opt-into this system and enter your contact information and subscribe to time sensitive, targeted messages you may care about based on your geographic location or the location of friends or family.

If you do not have internet access, you can call (802)-951-0000 and leave us your contact information and someone will get back to you.

The contact information you provide is protected and will not be used for any other purpose.

When we issue a notification about an emergency, facility training exercise, potential safety hazard or concern, all community members in the system will receive a message on the voice or text communication methods that they have registered.

You will receive time-sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as your home, mobile or business phones, e-mail address, text messages and more.

Be informed about emergencies and other important news involving the community by signing up for our Emergency Notification Program…you pick where, you pick how.
